English Reading and Writing (3)

This is an advanced level English Reading and Writing course, with an intercultural syllabus, with an aim to develop KMU Freshmen's English reading and writing abilities. The reading materials include a variety of genres such as short story, essay, poem, and commentary. Students are encouraged to use English to express their opinions on the cultural and social issues covered both in spoken and written forms. Oral presentations, essays, and/or term projects are required. This framework is hoped to enhance students' English linguistic competence and develop critical thinking through recognizing learning issues, evaluating different perspectives, and making reasonable judgments.
